imagine that on a munificent with similar stats to a hammerhead. ect.Īn upgrade like "saturated fire: add one blue dice to your front arc for each other ship in your fleet with this upgrade." would be very thematic because the separatists are all about many droids/ships working together. few or no unique upgrades besides admirals, upgrades that specifically buff other ships rather than the attached ship, lots of terrible fighters buffed bu droid brain carrier ships, upgrades that work en-mass. i think you gotta lean into the droids, and the expendable nature of the separatists army. we see that all the time in the show, a wall of blockading munificent, none of them being very scary alonefor a long time i have thought about separatist fleet and how to make the separatists/republic different from the rebels/imperials.

they didnt need side or rear weapons because the ship was not at risk of getting flanked if it is in the middle of the formation. This ship was all about making big formations, all of the ships making a wall of forward firepower, it was not that one of these ships had a special forward firing weapon, it was that this ship almost exclusively had forward firing weapons, and a bunch of them lined up threw a disproportionate amount of damage, like a hoplite phalanx. your idea for a special ignition arc is neat, but to me that makes this ship feel too individual. I hope that when this ship comes out it is a bit like the hammer head corvette. I like what you have there as a ship, but i am not sure if it embodies what that ship feels like, or what role it played in the separatist fleet. I might add specific arc measurements later.

In practice, the Munificent would be a front-firing ship that is weak in the sides, similar to the Nebulon B. The side arcs should be more narrow, but still larger than the rear arc which should be rather thin. As for the other arcs, I think the front firing arc should be fairly wide in order to incorporate the narrow ignition arc and since the majority of the weapons on the ship are forward facing. I thought the best way to represent this in Armada would be with a narrow close-ranged Ignition Arc that could be relied on to put out a small amount of pin-point damage, however is not practically enough to take down enemy ships. This long ranged weapon allowed for the Munificent to advance on enemy ships from a distance while still putting out some damage (as seen in "Downfall of a Droid"). It is a key feature in many Separatist strategies in the Clone Wars. One of the most unique features of the Munificent is it's forward facing turbolaser.
